Alapere Bus Shelter and Lay-by, built with a traffic solution in mind, has a capacity for 30 midi-buses. It is a modern bus shelter built with aesthetics, proper illumination, Passenger Information System (PIS), walkway, sport net and guard rails, which all provide easy access and passenger movement control on the road.

Alapere Bus Shelter and Lay-by is a world-class public transport infrastructure built by the Lagos State Government as part of its initiative to decongest traffic on Lagos–Oworonshoki Expressway.

These essential public transport infrastructures are mostly insufficient along urban roads in the city and contribute largely to the perennial traffic congestion experienced by road users. With no provision for these infrastructure, the bus operators usually pick up and drop off passengers on the road, thereby reducing the road width and causing obstructions to free traffic flow.

Planet Projects Limited delivered this project by carrying out a detailed engineering design, bus stop capacity studies and actual construction.
